Times change

It's been a couple of months since I have written anything; it's crazy how things change. We had a play date meet and greet at Jonas' kindergarten yesterday and he met some kids that might be in his kindergarten class; what a relief! I was so nervous that he wouldn't make friends, but now seeing him, I have nothing to worry about. We are still waiting for Brayden to start talking. He has mimicked a couple of words that Chaz has said (mama, dada, boo, blue, yes, vroom) but that's it. We filled out the paperwork today to have a speech therapist come out; our evaluation is on the 25th (fingers crossed). In other news, we had the best 4th of July ever! We went to the local parade that's 1/2 a block away, it had such a small time feel! Then we went to the park right down the road and they had free face painting, bounce houses, pretzels and hot dogs, and a juggler- all for free! At night fall we went to the local highschool and sat on a picnic blanket and watched the late fireworks as a family. I love our neighborhood!

Old spice

There was an old spice commercial that sang about making a man out of a moms  son; Jonas saw it and told us he never wanted old spice because he never wanted to leave me
This last couple of weeks have been an emotional roller coaster
It was Mother's Day and I got egg Benedict! Yum! And Jonas picked me out beautiful nail polish and a sparky purple hairbrush- he knows me so well! He also made me a precious card that says thank you and has a Popsicle stick house on it; we then took Grammy out to lung during which both kids went crazy and it was capped with Jonas throwing up in the bathroom- arg! Dinner was scallops- delish!
The next week it was our anniversary and Jonas insisted on getting me an anniversary card too - he wants nothing more than to marry me! How amazing; we went the smorgasbord a day early because preschool graduation was on our real anniversary
We started the day at chuck e cheese to celebrate- when we showed up chuck was there dancing and the power briefly went out: Brayden kept hugging chuck's legs and it was cute
Graduation was tough- Brayden was going crazy and Chaz was dealing with him so I could get a picture
My baby was done with preschool that quick... No more mrs snarski and no more mrs fulginitti... New kids and a new school- full days and five days
When did he grow up? At least I held in the ugly crying until we got to the car

5 year plan

5 years ago I was waiting to give birth to my first son. Little did I know how much my life would change
Flash forward 5 yrs and my boy has already lost his first tooth (Friday may 9th) the tooth fairy brought him one dollar and a "demon" Kane wrestling figure; and his last day of preschool ever is tomorrow morning.
He's doing swimming lessons and has friends that he plays outside with and doesn't need my help.
It's bittersweet really- i will forever be his mommy... Kisser of boo boos and wiper of tears. I don't ever want him to stop being my first baby... I hope he knows that.
I feel like I've missed out because I work so much and at Mother's Day tea at his school his art said that my favorite thing to do was work. I will spend the rest of my days proving to him that being with him and his brother is my favorite thing every day.

It's been a long time

It's been over a year since my last post- crazy how time flies
Since last year we had to move- that was stressful, but our new neighborhood is amazing
Brayden still doesn't talk
Jonas has gotten way into wrestling an legos
Jonas started swimming lessons today
And he told me he didn't want to buy old spice and leave me after watching an old spice commercial about boys turning into mean
How cute
The boys are currently fighting while trying to clean up down stairs

Until next time
(Hopefully not a year)
