To help me remember the big things, the little things, and everything in between.

There is a light that never goes out
Last night Jonas fell asleep on the couch and we were faced with the task of trying to transition him into his bed. I took I the task and headed upstairs carrying our 45 lb 3.5 yr old that freaks out screaming whenever he wakes up from a nap. I also had to get a nighttime diaper on him- I used orange Gatorade as a bribe when when it came to diaper time. Jonas than looked at me with tired tear filled eyes and asked me to lay with him. How could I resist? I climbed under the comforter and snuggled up to him and starting singing him "you are my sunshine" he looked T me and smiled a way I don't often see anymore. And at that moment I prayed that if the world ended I wanted it to be at a moment like that.

I'm so glad it's Christmas
Jonas had his first Christmas pageant on Thursday the 13th. He was an angel, I of course stood up front and as close to him as I could get and videoed his every move. I was in awe and what he has become. My boy, my booger, my angel.
Brayden on the other hand now has 2 teeth and no sense of what sleep is, but one day, at his Christmas pageant I won't remember that, I will just watch him in awe...

Living on a prayer
I'm not a god fearing woman by any means, the only thing I really fear is tight spaces, crowds, or being alone: I live with a belief of science and a respect for what others believe to be acceptable too- to each their own. but i am putting this wish/prayer/request for karma out there for the Internet to see. Powerball is up to 350 million dollars- I believe the universe has given me 3 winning numbers so far, now I need 3 more. I surely don't want or need all that money, I just want enough money where I don't have to work 50 hours a week (at least) at a job that makes me feel worthless. I want to own a house. I'm not asking for much from whomever is reading this or whomever controls my fate (if anyone does). I just want to enjoy life and not have to struggle like I have been for he last 27 years. I want to breathe easily and sleep in and enjoy life- I more than deserve it..... so please mother earth, science, god, secret millionaire, Ganesh, anyone who can help - let me have this one thing?

Turkey day and the last few months
Life has gotten away from me lately. Jonas started school- what an emotional day: we thought he would do great but sure enough he ran into the hall after us when we left with tears filling his eyes. He has warmed up to his teachers and has even made some friends (sheamus, Connor, Finn, and cormac) today was their thanksgiving feast. Chaz was the parent volunteer and I stayed home with Brayden. At school Jonas made an I'm thankful handprint and said he was thankful for " daddy and pumpkins." that kind of hurt but I know how much it meant to Chaz. If I made my own handprint it would say I am thankful for everyone of my boys.

i am a documenter of the little things
We went out shopping today; it was our "big trip" as we haven't been out of the house for a while due to the heat wave. We went out to a nice Mexican restaurant called Plaza Azteca (this is baby Brayden's second restaurant [the first was tony lukes]) as we got out of the car at the restaurant we realized we rushed out of the house with no diaper on Jonas (our 3yr old) - whoops. Welp here goes potty training.
We made it through lunch at the restaurant with no accidents, so we decided to hit up Target on our way home and really "push our luck" with potty training. Granted it was one of the shortest Target trips ever- we made it through with no incidents! We did a happy dance on the drive home.
Later that night, as we were doing our bedtime rituals Jonas told his daddy that he wanted to pee standing up, and I have never seen a man (my husband) more proud- he stood in the doorway and proudly proclaimed it to me with his hands on his hips like he had discovered the americas.
The hardest part of potty training for me has been taking the risk- if we didn't forget his diaper that day I have a looming feeling that we would still be struggling with it. So if you find yourself in the same boat as me; just forget about it! It was that simple for us!

BAM- a second son is born
So the day before my c-section (06/11/12) I had to call the hospital to get my confirmed surgery time. I called and they told me to arrive at the hospital at 12:15 and that my surgery would be at 02:15 PM and that i could not eat or drink anything (not even water) after midnight. I just about lost it, how could they expect a pregnant woman not to eat for 14 hours! then i started crying and my poor husband had no idea what to do. that night we went out for steak at this place called Rock Bottom and it happened to be their "Quizzo" night too- we had soo much fun!
the next morning i got a call at 9:15- it was the hospital asking me to come in as soon as possible for surgery (YES I GET TO EAT SOONER!)
We packed up and got to the hospital by 10:30. As soon as i got there and important blood machine broke and they had to figure out my blood antibodies by hand and that pushed everything back by 2 hours (we were now at the original time)... while we were waiting we also heard a poor woman go through what i am assuming was natural labor= she let out 3 loud banshee screams and then a baby cried. CRAZY
I found out that day that a spinal epidural feels totally different than a labor epidural and that when i feel paralyzed up to my lungs and i am being strapped into the operating table i will have the worst panic attack EVER. and i will freak out ever nurse and doctor in the o.r. with me. and i will have to see a social worker too (more on that later)
You were born without a major issue though and the biggest surprise was that you had hair! how wonderful!
