We went out shopping today; it was our "big trip" as we haven't been out of the house for a while due to the heat wave. We went out to a nice Mexican restaurant called Plaza Azteca (this is baby Brayden's second restaurant [the first was tony lukes]) as we got out of the car at the restaurant we realized we rushed out of the house with no diaper on Jonas (our 3yr old) - whoops. Welp here goes potty training.
We made it through lunch at the restaurant with no accidents, so we decided to hit up Target on our way home and really "push our luck" with potty training. Granted it was one of the shortest Target trips ever- we made it through with no incidents! We did a happy dance on the drive home.
Later that night, as we were doing our bedtime rituals Jonas told his daddy that he wanted to pee standing up, and I have never seen a man (my husband) more proud- he stood in the doorway and proudly proclaimed it to me with his hands on his hips like he had discovered the americas.
The hardest part of potty training for me has been taking the risk- if we didn't forget his diaper that day I have a looming feeling that we would still be struggling with it. So if you find yourself in the same boat as me; just forget about it! It was that simple for us!
